This past holiday season was kinda a bummer for me. Thanksgiving day I had off from work but having both families living relatively close we had to make an appearance at both dinners. So this year we went to my families house first an had dinner around three. We finished dinner there then had to book it over to Tempe from Queen Creek to go eat dinner at Paul's grandparents house. I, by that time was not hungry but we had a good time and talked and enjoyed the family but had to leave kinda early because both of us had to work the next day. So December comes around and on christmas eve we decided we would spend this day with my family. We got to the house around twelve thirty and watched movies and played games with my younger siblings. At three o' clock we started to make dinner which in our family we have a tradition every Christmas Eve we make homemade torillini. Last year we did not make it on account to many people were to busy to come early and help make it so since Paul had never had this wonderful dish I said this year we are going to make it. So about 4 hours later the family was ready to eat. Another bummer to this holiday we had to leave early again because I had to work Christmas Day at the hospital. Me and Paul exchanged gifts christmas eve night he had known he was getting an Xbox 360 for two months so he stayed till 12:30 am playing it. My gift was a total surprise Paul got me a very large love sac that I must say is so comfortable I have taken many naps on it. So on Christmas Day I got to watch all these poor sick kids open their gifts from there families laying in a hospital bed. I was surprised how many kids had their spirits high. Of course it helped that they got not only gifts from their families but the hospital gave each child about seven gifts as well. Still the day was pretty depressing for me spending from 7:00am to 7:30pm without my husband or family. New Years Eve I got to go to my husband's aunt and uncle's house and play games which was a blast. Paul's parents were there and a bunch of his aunt and uncle's friends. As usual we had to leave early because I also had to work at the hospital on New Years Day. So yeah, my holidays pretty much stunk!
