Beating The Arizona Heat

I say this alot but, I HATE Arizona summer! I know other places are humid or have horrible winters, but the heat makes me miserable. I keep trying to remind myself this year that at least you are not pregnant like last year. But this year I have a toddler who is not up for staying in doors all the time and wants to get out and have fun. So I have been braving the temps. Some of the activities we have done over the last month are

We went to Bass pro shop to look at an aquarium they have there and play on the cool boy toys in the store, then after that went to tempe beach park, which my camera was not working so I did not get any pictures of that.

Then we have had many family dinners and dinners with friends.

Lots of swimming or at least activities involved with swimming. Including mesquite water park, which again did not get any pictures but I think this was the funnest water activity we have done this summer.

Had many play dates with cousins and friends of mine and Paul's.

Trips to stores and malls, which our new favorite activity at superstition mall is riding the carousel for free! Liam loves to ride in the basket at the grocery store. I think it makes him feel like a big boy. But he is a little beaver, always biting the cart.

Walks to the mail box or after the sun goes down, walking around the neighborhood.

I sure hope the rest of the summer goes fast, because I just can't wait for fall with Liam walking and able to enjoy the outdoors so much more than last fall!
