Yesterday was our very first ultrasound of the baby and let me tell you I have never been so impatient for a day to come! I almost have not believed myself that I was really pregnant, but as soon as the doppler hit my tummy the baby popped up like "in your face mom I am here!" I saw the little heart going immediately and very unexpectedly I was totally crying! It was at that moment that I realized I really had been doubting myself this whole time. I don't know why I am just that kinda person, I guess that I am always wanting to keep my guard up just in case. To see our little baby doing just fine was such a joy to me! It made this whole pregnancy so much more real. I have a full little baby in there kicking, moving and just having a grand time with all that space in there. Paul could not take his eyes off the screen either. The baby as of yesterday was exactly 12 weeks along and measuring 2 inches, with all its limbs, eyes, nose, fingers and toes, moving its arms all over the place. We have no idea what the gender is, but come on this early on, no one knows! I am really okay with that, I am just so excited we have a little swimmer in there that is doing great. Our due date at this point is September 8th.
